An Activist's Prayer

Let me be a vessel of peace.

Let the fire within my soul
Send sparks out
To ignite the world
And call it to action.

Let me be bold
as the purple I wear
as I raise my arms
like the bowl of a great chalice
and go dancing
toward my destiny.
